Following Hurricane Isaac, DBI was retained to provide a loss measurement in response to flood damage to a chemical bulk storage facility. The facility was comprised of employee buildings, 70 storage tanks, two ship docking stations, truck loading bays, a railroad yard, and a complex network of interconnected pipes, electrical/data lines, and computer control/monitoring systems. In addition to the active facility, an expansion project was in progress at the time of the loss event. Both new and old infrastructure was affected in varying degrees by the storm. The approximate project value exceeded $50M.
